Who we are
In 2005 I, Mr. Kiran
Chettri was able to fulfill his heart’s desire when he met Mrs. Debbie
Hollinger from USA. Her vision was raising the orphan girl in homely environment.
She wanted to help orphan girls in
India. Mrs. Debbie Hollinger gave us privilege to work with her project as
leader of HOPE FAMILY HOME. With her
support, we opened a home for orphans, 15 girls living as sisters. In Hope Family Home, the girls are no longer
orphans, they are family! They are
growing to be young ladies, trained to be capable, hospitable, caring and well
mannered. They receive an excellent education that will give them a bright
future. Mrs. Hollinger visits us twice
in a year, showing her love and giving words of encouragement to the girls –
treating them as her own daughters. She encourages the staff – giving
guidelines on how to take care the girls according to their age. Together we make certain that the girls are
not in lack for anything. We can say very proudly that the home is running
successfully, the girls are happy and enjoying their lives. Each girl found a family
where there are many sisters where they can grow with love. They are preparing
for their future life.
Over the past years, people have come to our home and requested
for us to take in other orphan children.
Sadly, we are not able to do this at this time. The words “I’m sorry, there is no place for
them here” is both difficult for me to say and for those orphans to hear. Our desire is to have finances to begin more
homes – offering security and love to more orphan children. Financial partners with a similar vision will
allow us to open more homes for orphans, and to operate day centers for
children who roam the streets. We have a
strong urgency to help these desperately needy children to be relieved from the
curse of poverty on their lives. We can
be a team to help save these children from abuse, child labor, neglect – and
open their hearts and minds to hope for a more secure future.
Together, as a winning team, we have the power to change a
child’s life today.
